Founder and Principal of Qualis Power, Dr Timothy Browne, is a power systems specialist. Tim bridges the technical and non-technical worlds, telling stories in forms which are carefully targeted to suit their audiences, regardless of the complexity of the underlying concepts. Highly analytical, he is experienced in conceptualising problems and quickly identifying ways to solve them. Tim has honed his skills through a mix of management and technical roles in engineering consulting, combined with a strong theoretical background from academia, as well as practical utility experience.

He is an author of seventeen publications, predominantly on power system analysis, including six journal articles and a book chapter.

His professional memberships include Engineers Australia, the Electric Energy Society of Australia, Cigre, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the IEEE Power & Energy Society.
